PLATFORM MODERNIZATION

Migration to a Modern Framework

InRhythm partnered with a top wealth & asset management firm to implement a new backend protocol that only returned specific chart data points that were requested by the end user as opposed to returning all available chart data.

InRhythm helped a top wealth & asset management firm migrate from a legacy chart framework to a modern one. The legacy chart framework had several features and specific behavior that needed to be replicated in the modern framework, such as randomizing colors for series plot data and retrieving custom data points in mouse hover enabled tooltips. The legacy framework also provided excellent performance when it came to re-rendering plot data via real-time updates or manual controls (i.e. filters) – this also needed to be replicated in the modern framework.

InRhythm assembled a large team of software engineers across several time zones who worked closely together to deliver on the migration work. They addressed all of the discrepancies between the legacy and modern frameworks. They even worked directly with stakeholders of the application on documenting and addressing migration issues specific to their data sets and charts, such as incorrect axis scaling, very slow chart rendering, and duplicate colors being used to plot data points. This team was able to meet the deadlines requested by the client and complete the work within one financial quarter.
